here's some info from george georgiou (who designed the Jan/Feb 1988 Shoom flyers) -
"The three Shoom flyers in 'Highflyers' were indeed done by me. They were ALL Fitness Centre (also known as Crown House) gigs, I did the first in early January '88. All the dates on the actual flyers are correct [30 Jan 88, 13 Feb 88, 27 Feb 88]. I remember this because I keep notebooks that go way back.
The three flyers (tumbling smileys, Trance Dance and Coldcut) were the only ones I did for Danny and Jenny.
As for the name change [from 'schoom' to 'shoom'], it MUST have happened before March 88. I only vaguely remember the other spelling, I was never asked to use it.
As far as I am aware, and I could be wrong here, there had only been one shoom night previous to the one advertised on the tumbling smiley flyer. That would have taken place in late '87. I never saw the flyer for that gig.
I don't know anything about the 'heart' logo (which I rather liked actually), can't remember exactly when I first saw it, other than it was way much later in 88 or into 89 even."
